1) English Practice Paper (Due on Friday)

Plan for tomorrow
1) Composition in class (2 periods). You may want to bring your notes and dictionary.
2) Go through Math Practice Paper
3) Go through Unit 12 Comprehension (Open-ended and Cloze)

If none of the children choose the same combination of flavours, and every different combination of flavors is chosen, how many children are there?

    You do not have to rush to hand in the English Paper tomorrow. Spend some time doing it. I want to see good effort.

    By the way, you should not use "hand up assignment". You can either you use "hand in" or "submit".

    And, I will see you later for the video conferencing with the Chile pupils.

  6. A box contains an assortment of 3 types of chocolate bars. It has 18 bars with almonds, 24 bars with hazelnuts and 30 bars with peanut. The chocolate bars are shared among some students. Each student has only one type of chocolate bars. Suppose each children has the greatest number of chocolate bars.
    (a) How many chocolate bars does each student have?
    (b) How many students will have chocolate bars with peanuts?

  7. Johnny jogs to East Coast Park from his home at a constant speed. After every 30 minutes of jogging he rests for 5 mins, It takes him 2 h 34 min to reach east coast park. When h e jogs home from East Coast Park his speed is twice as fast and he needs to rest for 7 mins after every twenty minutes of jogging. How long (in mins) does he take to reach home from East Coast Park?

  10. Nobody knows how old Aunt Helen is but she gave a few hints. She had passed 1/20 of her life before she started school. She spent 3/20 of her life in school; She worked for 1/10 of her life before she got married. She was married for 2/5 of her life. Her husband died after 7/10 of her life.
    From reading Uncle Harry's gravestone you find out that she has been a widow for 24 years.
