How is your second week in secondary school?
I suppose most of you have started lessons in the classroom.
It was nice seeing some of the you this morning!
Just only a month and I can see that some of you have grown taller! :)

Life in Nanhua is really fun! We are having our orientation camp from tomorrow to friday. I think it will be fun for everyone! I'm going back to zhenghua soon to get my cheque from the general office and also to see my friends:) hope to see you guys there! :D
ReplyDeleteToday's orientation we went to Botanic Garden to have some station games there. It was really fun.WE even need to use our feet only to pass the marble to the end of the line and if the marble drops on the floor, we have to restart again so it was really tiring but we managed to accomplish that task.Hooray!Yesterday we were soaked to our skin when we played station games in NJC. Tomorrow we are going to have a CCA trail and my sister and I choose shooting and choir for our first choice so that we can have a new experience...excited:)
ReplyDeleteToday's CCA trial is really tiring and boring but the CCA, shooting, sparked our interest. We tried both air pistol and air rifle. The air rifle is really heavy and big but we still managed to shoot into the board which is something like archery with a lot of circles. It is really fun and exciting. Zhi Ting decided to join air pistol while I decided to join air rifle as I could not shoot at the target...By the way, Tomorrow is our campfire night and we will have water bomb game:)

Hi everyone! I saw Mrs Yip today!(In case you dont know hu she is, she is my Math Olympiad teacher) She asked me lots of questions. I found 1 question weird.She asked what sch the 'China' boy go to. I was thinking who is she talking about when 1 person came to my mind. Chuan Hui! I found this question weird as why she only asked about him and not the others? Who knows?

ReplyDeleteMy class is really fun! My form teachers allows us to put up posters of kpop and anime and other random stuff up on the notice board and plays the class's top favourite ten songs on his laptop every week during a math period! What a nice teacher!

Take any random number, say positive 9. It is the same as 10 added to negative 1, because when you add a negative number to a random number, the negative number is subtracted from the number. Therefore, when you subtract a negative number from a random number, the negative number is added to the number.
i.e.10+(-1)=9
9-(-1)=10

Today is a boring day...
ReplyDeleteNot for me. I had to go for a calligraphy competition today, and the wind was against me. It kept blowing my rice paper off the table, even though I put a heavy stapler on it!(The wind was quite strong)As a result I did not write as well as i could have...
ReplyDeleteAfter that I stayed back for a chinese chess trial(for those of you who are thinking of my "adddiction" to chinese chess, YES I KNOW I PLAY A LOT OF CHINESE CHESS);however, I lost the game(due to a careless mistake)and dont think i did well.
P.S. I probably would have lost eventually as the guy I was playing against was a member and had probably trained for a few years; in addition, he could challenge two people at a time and win both!(I saw this happen later)
We have tests every week! This week, we have our test paper given for our very first day of lessons... So stressful!:(

ReplyDeleteWhen you add or subtract NEGATIVE numbers, you just reverse the signs.
So, If you subtract negative 1 from positive 9, you get 10.
If you add negative 1 to negative 9, you get 8.
P.S. Don't read this if you don't want to, but I just wanted to inform you that if you multiply a negative number by a negative number, you get a positive number.i.e.(-2)*(-2)=+4. If you multiply a positive number by a negative number, you get a negative number.i.e.(-2)*2=(-4) Oh yes, and you should enclose negative numbers in brackets like this-(-2),(-3)and so on to avoid confusion.
Please understand this.You shouldn't read the postscript if you don't understand as it will only confuse you!

Today we got our NJC roadrun and we ran 2.6 km. We also view the army tanks. It was really cool!:) We also use the night vision glasses to try to make out the things at the other end of the hall......
