The youth Olympic will be held on 14 of August to 26 August.It is to encourage young people to participate more in sports.YOG is important to Singapore as this is the first time we hold the Youth Olympic games.

YOG is Youth Olympic Games.The first Youth Olympic Games will be held in our country from 14 to 26 August 2010. The 12 day games will draw 3500 athletes. All the participating athletes’ ages will be between 14 to 18. All together there are 26 sports are on the games.

Our country is also an exciting destination, one that is vibrant and culturally rich. It is a global city to live, work and play. Singaporeans also respects people of all races and religions. We also believe in fair play, honesty and integrity. By hosting the YOG, our country will be able to deliver a significant, lasting legacy in the area of sport, culture and education locally and internationally. This is why YOG is important to our country!

Singapore will be hosting the first Youth Olympic Games from 14 to 26 August 2010.The objectives is to bring about a greater awareness of the YOG. It is to encourage more youth to take part in sports.
