Buried underneath was a great man Diophantus. One-sixth of his life was spent in happy childhood. After one-twelfth of his life, he grew a beard. After one-seventh of his life, he got married and had a son 5 years later. However, the child only lived for half the life span of his father. After the death of his son, Diophantus lived in sadness for another 4 years before he died.

when you change them into the same denominator it should be,14/84 for childhood,7/84 for a beard,12/84 for getting married and 42/84 for child's life span. You add them together and use 84 to subtract answer which is 75 and you will get 9 years. the 9 years are the 5 years later,a son and 4 years in sadness.

  9. Tomorrow, 22 JULY 2009,is the day where there would be a total solar eclipse and in Singapore,we would only see a partial one. Wearing sunglasses alone will not help to protect your eyes when looking at the sun. In fact, we are not suppose to look at the sun even during a solar eclipse. Please take note of this. :)
