1m = 100cm
Is 600m2 (600 square metres) equal to 60000cm2 (60000 square centimetres)?
Why? How can you explain to your friends?

    Yes.To find out if 60000cm2 equals to 600m2,you have to make the 60000cm2 to change to 600m2.You can change it by using 60000cm2 and divide by 100.Because 100 is 1m,that is why we use 60000cm2 to divide by 100 which equals to 600m2.

    I don't think you right in your explanation that 600m2 is equal to 60000cm2. Does it mean that 1m2 is equal to 100cm2? Do some reasoning! You will discover something!

    Tom was on his way to Bukit Batok Swimming Complex.10% of his journey on foot.Then he took a bus for 60% of the remaining journey.And at last he walked to the swimming pool for the remaining 540m.How long was the journey for Tom to go to the swimming pool?

    Which square do you mean? Do you mean the square cm for area or square centimeter which is used to time A to A?

    It is because the square is of meters or centimeters.You can find the answer to that question by drawing out the squares and the one that has 600m2 has squares of meters by meters while the on that is 600cm2 has squares of centimeters.
