@Mdm tan: th electromagnetic spectrum is a name which weird scientists give to a bunch of radiation. There are many types of wavelength, and visible light (ie the weird light that you can see right now as you are reading this weird post by me) is made of just a tiny part of th electromagnetic spectrum.
ReplyDeleteSome examples of electromagnetic radiation are infra red waves , not invisible (visible) light, UV radiations, etc etc etc. Plants can only make food from visible light (not just light from our sunny sun, but also VISIBLE light from torches, lamps, etc) which, obviously, means that it can't when you shine an infrared torch on it, so put that away now or else...

a visible spectrum is simply an electromagnetic radiation in the range of a human eye.the electromagnetic radiation looks like a rainbow to me.many species can see wavelengths outside the visible spectrum.

Question of the day: What is a mirage and how is it formed?
ReplyDeleteMirages are formed by ripples in the air caused by heat, which transfers to the light coming from a area. Although they are generally associated with the dessert, you will actually see similar things around a large fire or other heat sources. If you are driving down a long flat road on a hot day, you may see one.
ReplyDeleteThey are not, in fact, caused by a trick of the mind.
Mirages are just like visible ripples in water, except that because air is less dense, it is much harder to see ripples in air.
