hii... i'm the first to post!
ReplyDeleteI give the story on the blog first.
ReplyDeleteFirst story:
I had just came home from school. I straightaway flung my bag into my room and switched on the television. Although there was tons of homework for me to do but I kept them aside. I knew tommorow was a school day but I ignored the fact. There was still plenty of time left, I thought. I will do it later. My teacher usually said that procrastinating was not a good act but I simply ignored it.
When it was about 3pm, I quickly bathe took a nap. I thought only 10mins had gone by but when I woke up, 2 hours had passed. My parents was also back from work. They asked me if I had done my homework but I lied to them to avoid just to avoid a scolding.
After I had dinner, it was about 10 pm. My eyes was heavy and I was falling asleep. I regretted my actions that afternoon. I had to pay a dearly prize for it.
That day I learnt that time and tide wait for no man.
Second story:
ReplyDeleteMr Soh, our teacher, had given the class a project to do. It was a tough one as Mr Soh told us to rephrase the facts that we had obtained.
When Rizqan reached home, he thought that Mr Soh would not know that he copied the whole facts, so he printed the article and wrote his name on it.
The next day in school, Rizqan proudly handed in the assignment, saying that he did it on his own. However, Mr Soh smelt a rat and asked him to admit his mistake. Rizqan was crestfallen and had to spill his secrets. That day, he learnt that the early bird catches the worm.
Hi Hazique,
ReplyDeleteInteresting stories! However, I don't think the second story is appropriate to use the proverb "early bird catches the worm". I like the "smelt a rat" and "crestfallen". Keep it up! :)
So Mr Soh, can this quote be used for Hazique's second story "It's better to fail with honour than to win by cheating"

ReplyDeleteMdm Tan,
ReplyDeleteMy mother is feeling slightly sick and therefore will not be able to volunteer for the hydroponics field trip.
Sincerely,

Would anyone else like to ask their parent to volunteer for the hydroponics field trip this Tue? If we don't have a parent volunteer, we might not be able to go. Please try to ask your parents.
